Rare Racing and Prototype Corvettes

At the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky there were many displays of old and new Corvettes.  One of the most unusual displays was the Racing Corvettes that were not released to the public and then the Prototypes.  The Prototypes had wild fins and sleek shapes that were futuristic even way back in the last century.

The Real World

If I were writing a novel, there are many things I would circle back to in this tale, loose ends to tie up, hints to conclude, Faery Namers to mention again.  I’ve often thought this was a story I should never have begun.  At an extremely challenging time in my life Thistledown does not take me to a world where I would escape.  Rather, it ties me to the darkness of the current time and place.  It seems like an odd thing to say about a tale of faeries, doesn’t it?

That said, it may not be done in the best “literary” way, or the best “technical” way, but I’m bringing this story to a close.  I’m truly grateful to everyone who has followed this story.  The joy I take…

When you’re young and something hurts, you start thinking about what you could possibly have done before that made your body ache. As you get older, there are days when something hurts, and you stop looking for reasons from the previous day that caused the pain and start assuming that it must be yet another sign that you are getting older.

Those days are unpleasant.

A study in the scientists examined the effects of feeling old on evaluations of the self and general attitudes. The participants in these studies were all adults over the age of 40.
