What are some of your favorite traditions for this season? What new traditions have you developed over the years?

I love St. Nicholas Day (putting out the shoe for candy) on Dec. 5. I love the Advents. I love the whole decorating process.

Writing cards is important to me. If someone else chooses not to, hey, up to them, not up to me. But when someone gives the excuse of “not having time” — that’s a slap in the face. When you say you “don’t have time” to write a card, you are telling the person that he/she is not WORTH the time it takes to write a card. Choosing not to write cards is a perfectly valid choice, but telling someone they are not worth the time — that gives me important information about the speaker. I’m later than…
