Why comments are preferred to likes on social media ?

Blogging has been a great opportunity for me to connect with like-minded people all over the world from all walks of life.

Sadly, even with lots of followers, I can recall names of only few people who make sincere effort to comment on my posts.

A lot of people like my posts though, which actually means nothing to me. When people discover my blog, they ‘like’ at least 8-10 posts within 2 minutes. I always wondered how do bloggers read 10 posts in such a short time. Perhaps, they just read the blog title and like my posts so that I visit their blog in return and like their posts too.

Most bloggers just ‘like’ a blog post in reader without reading the post.

Social interactions and communications in the online world is no different to the real world.
