I drove past this place and I didn’t think it was really going to be much of anything. “The Old Bag of Nails Pub”— yeah – love the name but thought it was just going to be a boring bar with bar food. But, it was a Sunday afternoon and there wasn’t really anything around and it was new- so why not.

“The Old Bag of Nails” was far more than anything I expected. First, the decor was rich, and fancy looking. Lots of dark wood booth separators that provided privacy from the bar area, each inside booth had a private television on the table that the waiter could control as far as channel and sound, and the place was spotless and welcoming.

Now, let’s talk about the menu. Nothing about the food was “bar food”. It was fish, mussels, shrimp, potato cakes, scallops, great appetizers and much more. The…
